به مقامات جمهوری اسلامی ایران
ما، کارگران صنعتی جهان، آی دبیلیو دبیلیو، از سرشت ضد طبقه کارگر سیستم قضایی در ایران عمیقا خشمگین هستیم. اشاره ما به حکم بسیار شدیدی است که علیه رضا شهابی، کارگر اتوبوسرانی، عضو هیئت مدیره و خزانه دار سندیکای کارگران شرکت واحد اتوبوسرانی تهران که با توسل به اتهامات واهی از جمله "فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام" و " تبانی به قصد اقدام علیه امنیت ملی" صادر شده است. این یک تلاش آشکار و شرم آور در انکار حق آزادی تشکل و بیان در ایران است.
نمایندگی کردن کارگران و یا دفاع از حقوق آنان در مقابل رژیمهای سرمایه داری نئولیبرال و توتالیتر که بدنبال تضعیف آزادیهای کارگری از طریق ترس و ارعاب هستند، هرگز جرم نبوده و نخواهد بود.
ما تمامی احکام ظالمانه، تعقیب و دستگیری فعالین کارگری را محکوم میکنیم و خواهان یک جامعه مشارکتی (تعاونی) به رهبری کارگران برای تمامی مردم ایران هستیم.

Subject: Free Reza Shahabi
We the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) are deeply angered to learn of the anti-Working Class nature of the judicial system in Iran.
We refer to the draconian sentancing of Reza Shahabi, a bus Worker, Executive Board member and Treasurer of the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran Vahed Bus Company on trumped up charges of 'propagandha activities against the system' and 'conspiracy with the intention of acting against national security', in a blatant attempt at deny the right to freedom of association and expression in Iran.
It is not and will never be a crime to represent Workers or defend their rights against totalitarian regimes of neoliberal capitalists who contrive to undermine Workers liberties through fear and intimidation.
We denounce all unjust sentances, persecution and arrests of all labour activists and call for a more Workers lead co-operative society for all the people of Iran.
